SURELY not again! It looks like EastEnders' bad girl Janine Butcher is about to get off her second murder charge.
Manipulative Janine seems to have got off her hefty prison sentence, her second murder in her on/off EastEnders career after she pushed Barry Evans off a cliff in 2004.
These new photos have emerged just days after Stacey Branning, who recently returned to the square, visited arch-enemy Janine in prison.
Long-time viewers will remember Janine, played by Charlie Brooks, told police in 2009 she was stabbed by Stacey, played by Lacey Turner.
And now officers are looking into the incident after hearing of Stacey's return to Walford.
With Janine knowing EVERYTHING about Stacey killing Archie Mitchell before she fled … Stacey has everything to lose.“I want you to tell the police that you saw Alice kill Michael.”Janine tells Kat
Her cousin Kat Slater, played by Jessie Wallace, is now the only one who can save Stacey by telling the police that Janine did not kill Michael and that Alice Branning did.
Janine told Stacey during the prison visit: "I will retract my statement for you."
Before turning to Kat and telling her: "If you make a statement for me."
"What are you talking about? What sort of statement?" Kat replied.
To which Janine answers: "I want you to tell the police that you saw Alice kill Michael."
"It’s Janine who holds all the cards to Stacey’s future.
“But with Janine languishing in prison there’s no reason why she’d want to help Stacey unless there was something in it for her.”
